I have some good news and some bad news regarding asthma. I am sure you already know both of them, but it is worth reiterating them… for the sake of this write-up.

Let me start with the bad news – Asthma STILL has no cure!

Now, here is the good news- It can be excellently managed in such a way that the victims will live without the life threatening attacks.

In other words, asthma management now gives anyone who is suffering from the condition, an opportunity to live a long and full life- like any other person without asthma.

Gone are the days when asthma sufferers had no choice but to suffer the agonizing attack – which led to the death of many victims, especially children.

Some of the ways asthma can be managed include:

- Watch out for and prevent exposure to factors that cause or trigger asthma. One of such factors is pollution.

- Get all the medications needed to keep your asthma at bay… and take special care to learn how to take your medication as at when due.

- Learn to study yourself and try to know the signs of your asthmatic condition so that you can learn more about asthma management to ensure you live longer. The more information you have about the condition, the better equipped you will be to manage it yourself.

- Help should never be too far away from you when you need it most.

- Lastly, you should be fully equipped to be able to handle asthma when it happens to you… even if no one is there to help you out.
